Aqara Smart Curtain Motor E1 (Rod Version, 1 Pack)

The Aqara Smart Curtain Motor E1, designed for remote control and home automation, requires the AQARA Zigbee 3.0 HUB. This motor is compatible with HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT, but please note that it does not support hubs from other brands. The Aqara Hub must be purchased separately.

To use the Aqara Curtain Motor E1, you need a secure 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi network connection for Hub M2/M1S/E1/M1S Gen2 and Camera Hub G2H Pro/G2H. The Camera Hub G3 requires a 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, you can connect the Hub M2 via a wired Ethernet RJ45 connection. Ensure that both the Aqara Hub and the Aqara Home App have the latest firmware updates.

The Curtain Motor E1 Rod Version supports most popular rods with a uniform thickness, but it does not support telescopic or extendable rods with different thicknesses at the ends. The package includes a "grommet kit." The supported rod diameter range is 0.99-1.25 inches. For detailed installation requirements, please refer to the images and A+ content.

Installing the Curtain Motor E1 is easy. It can be mounted onto your existing curtain track or rod without any additional tools. The motor will be hidden behind the curtain, maintaining the original decoration. To ensure a sturdy connection, keep the Aqara Curtain Motor E1 within 400 inches of the Aqara Zigbee hub, and ensure that the hub is within range of the Wi-Fi router. Also, make sure the hub and router are on the same local area network (LAN).

The Curtain Motor E1 enables the automation of your existing curtains based on weather, time, lighting conditions, or other Aqara devices triggered. You can set a timer to create a customized sleep-wake routine that fits your personal schedule. Automations are supported through HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, and IFTTT. Before connecting the Aqara Curtain Motor E1 to Apple HomeKit or enabling skills in Google Home and Alexa, please connect it to the Aqara hub.

With a huge 6000 mAh rechargeable battery, the Curtain Motor E1 can last up to a year without charging. The calculated battery life is based on opening and closing a curtain on a 5 ft track once a day, but it also depends on friction, curtain weight, and type. The device can be charged using a Type-A to Type-C cable with a powerbank or power supply, both of which are not included.
