Meet Bob the Blind Guy - The Inventor of Sleepy Time Tracks

Hi! My name is Robert, aka Bob The Blind Guy. I have been a window treatment installer for the last 30 years. As an installer, I receive immediate feedback from customers. While most are very happy with their new look, some are disappointed with their blackout shades. The problem is that the shade material does a great job of stopping light, but there is always some light that seeps in along the edges. Many customers thought that the shade was supposed to block all light and were upset when they learned the truth. I felt bad for the customers, as I believe they were a little misled.

I always had the idea of developing a product to solve this issue, and with the help of my wife Jan and after hearing enough complaints, I finally did. And that's how Sleepy Time Tracks were born. It has been six years since they were introduced to the market. We receive great feedback from our customers, and they are very appreciative that someone finally addressed this problem.

Our Light Blocking Strips excel at blocking out 97 percent of light infiltration along the sides of your room darkening shades. They are crafted from a specialized light-absorbing 'L' shaped Polyethylene (plastic) measuring 1-1/2 X 1-1/4 X 60 inches.

SLEEPY TIME TRACKS mount to your wall using a 1/16-inch thick double-sided foam tape. The tape features a special adhesive that allows for easy detachment with minimal to no damage to your wall when you decide to remove it. Additionally, the foam tape serves as a gasket, conforming better to rough and uneven window openings.

Our product seamlessly complements your current light-blocking shades, saving you the expense of investing in new blackout window shades. Compatible with various styles such as cellular, honeycomb, roller, and flat roman shades, it enhances your existing setup for superior light control and increased privacy.

These Side Tracks For Blackout Shades are easy to customize, trimming to size without cracking or splintering, ensuring a seamless installation process. With just a pencil and a few minutes, you can effortlessly install them. Our window light blocker can be trimmed to fit perfectly using utility scissors or tin snips for added convenience.

For optimal performance, it's essential to mount the blackout side tracks as close to your shade material as possible. Ensure that the wall surface is smooth, dust-free, and dry. For bumpy or stucco walls, utilize small screws as magnetic strips may not hold. For inside mounts, you will need a 3/16 inch gap along each side between your shade and window frame to accommodate the window blocker side tracks effectively.

Made in the USA, Sleepy Time Tracks are sold as a set of two and serve as the genuine gap blocker for light-blocking blinds, ensuring optimal darkness for a restful sleep. These tracks significantly darken your room, promoting a tranquil sleeping environment. Please note that window shades and blinds are not included with Sleepy Time Tracks.
